Terri Sinski is Director of Business Continuity Services at Strategic Planning Partners (SPP), a consulting firm specializing in customized Emergency Preparedness Programs, Business Continuity Planning and Maritime Port Security. SPP is a Resident Research Partner at the Morrelly Homeland Security Center in Bethpage, NY.
Terri has over ten years experience as a Disaster Preparedness Coordinator in the Emergency Response and Property Restoration Industry. Her specific area of expertise is the creation and implementation of comprehensive Business Continuity & Disaster Preparedness Programs. She has worked extensively with institutions, hospitals, schools and businesses to promote Corporate Disaster Preparedness Planning and Organizational Resilience Programs. Terri has been instrumental in the creation and development of customized Prevention, Response and Recovery programs for clients in multiple business sectors and geographic regions.
She has been trained and certified by the Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII) as an instructor of Business Continuity Management. Currently a faculty member at Adelphi University in Garden City, NY she serves as an adjunct Professor teaching Graduate Level Business Continuity Planning as well as Independent Emergency Management Study courses. Terri also served as a Program Specialist at Adelphi supporting the development of the Emergency Management Studies Program. She recently earned her certificate of completion for the ANSI ASIS SPC.1-2009 Organizational Resilience: Security, Preparedness, and Continuity Management Systems Standard. A Standard recently adopted by the Department of Homeland Security’s Private Sector Preparedness (PS-Prep) program; a voluntary program designed to improve corporate sector resilience and preparedness.
Previously, she served as Chairperson of the LI Chapter - Contingency Planning Exchange (CPE) 2008 - 2011, and was an active member of the board since 2004. CPE is a trade organization dedicated to promoting Business Continuity awareness to its membership via educational seminars and table top exercises.
Participating as a frequent speaker at public functions and events teaching and sharing industry best practices, she has been recognized by a number of news organizations including the Long Island Business News, Newsday and U.S. News & World Report.
Terri has a BA in Social Science from St. Joseph's College in NY. She has completed the Graduate Certificate in Emergency Management at Adelphi and is currently enrolled in the University's Emergency Management Masters Program.
