James Romagnoli
North Shore - Long Island Jewish Health System

Mr. Romagnoli is the Vice President of Corporate Security & Emergency Management at the North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System (NSLIJHS). Under the leadership of Mr. Romagnoli, the Corporate Security & Emergency Management Division constantly strives to be an industry leader in the disciplines of Protective Services and Crisis Management. He leads these initiatives in education and research to elevate the quality and
efficiency of these services in the NSLIJS.

Daily responsibilities for Mr. Romagnoli include but are not limited to maintaining a regional situational awareness for the Health System and responding to and managing all Health System emergencies at any NSLIJHS facility. Additionally, he was the Incident Commander for the Health System during the 2003 Blackout, H1N1 Outbreak and Hurricane Irene. Additionally, he is an instructor of Incident Command, Hazardous Materials, and Weapons of Mass Destruction.

Mr. Romagnoli is an ex-Chief of the New Hyde Park Fire Department and has 29 years of experience in the Nassau County Fire Service.

Prior to joining North Shore, 10 years ago, Mr. Romagnoli worked with the New York City Police Department, retiring as a Detective in 2001. He performed numerous duties as an instructor at the NYPD Specialized Training School, the Emergency Service Unit as well as the Detective Bureau.
