Jon Miller, CISM, CISSP

In public service information systems for more than 29 years, Jon Miller is the Chief Information Security Officer for the City of New York's Human Resources Administration; it's major programs include Medical and Public Assistance, Home-Care Services and Crisis & Disaster Services. Prior to this position, Jon was the MIS Director for New York City's Medicaid Program.
He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and was previously certified in the inaugural group of SANS GIAC Computer Systems Security Analysts (GSEC-Gold).
A firm believer of the value of volunteerism, he is the founder and past president of the FBI's InfraGard Program on Long Island; founding and former Northeast Regional InfraGard Representative and (past) Director of the New York City chapter of InfraGard.
Other association memberships include the USSS NY/NJ Electronic Crimes Task Force; New York Metro Chapter of the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA), and High Tech Crime Consortium (HTCC).
He was the 2006 Recipient of the FBI's InfraGard Linda Franklin National Achievement Award and 2007 recipient of an FBI Exceptional Service Award. He is the current Co-Chair of ISSA's International Professional Ethics Committee, Advisor to SANS / GIAC Ethics Council and Security Awareness Board.
